These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Major Roofing Specialists website and services. By accessing this website or requesting a free roof inspection, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or request services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, submitting information, or requesting a free roof inspection, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Contractor / Partner Disclaimer.
2. Role of Major Roofing Specialists
Major Roofing Specialists (“MRS”) operates as a customer-facing coordination and standards platform. MRS does not perform roofing work, construction services, repairs, or installations.
MRS establishes professional standards that guide how roofing inspections are performed, how roof conditions are documented, and how recommendations are communicated. MRS facilitates inspection requests, scheduling, communication, and information exchange to help homeowners make informed decisions.
3. Free Roof Inspection
Major Roofing Specialists offers free roof inspections at no cost to the homeowner.
- There is no obligation to proceed with repairs or replacement
- You are not required to hire any contractor
- Requesting an inspection does not create a service contract
The inspection is informational in nature and intended to help homeowners understand the condition of their roof and available options before making any decisions.
4. Inspection Coordination Terms
When a homeowner requests a free roof inspection through Major Roofing Specialists (“MRS”), the following Inspection Coordination Terms apply in addition to all other provisions of these Terms & Conditions.
A. Nature of the Inspection
The inspection coordinated through MRS is informational in nature.
The purpose of the inspection is to document observable roof conditions and provide structured findings that help homeowners understand the current condition of the roof before making any decisions.
The inspection:
- Is limited to observable and reasonably accessible areas
- Is based on conditions present at the time of inspection
- May include photographs, measurements, and written documentation
- Does not involve destructive testing or invasive procedures unless separately authorized
Conditions not visible at the time of inspection, including concealed damage or underlying structural issues, may not be identified.
B. Standards-Based Coordination
MRS operates as a standards layer.
MRS establishes documentation standards that guide how roof conditions are observed, recorded, and communicated. MRS coordinates scheduling, information exchange, and documentation flow between the homeowner and licensed independent contractors.
MRS does not perform roofing work, construction services, repairs, engineering evaluations, or structural assessments.
C. No Construction Supervision or Engineering Services
The inspection coordinated by MRS is not:
- A structural engineering report
- A building code compliance certification
- A guarantee of roof performance
- A warranty of condition or future durability
- Construction supervision or oversight
Homeowners are responsible for obtaining any additional professional evaluations they believe necessary, including structural engineering assessments or specialized inspections.
D. Independent Contractor Performance
All physical inspection activity is performed by licensed independent contractors.
MRS does not control the means and methods used by independent contractors to conduct inspections or perform roofing work.
Any recommendations, scope proposals, or repair contracts are provided directly by the independent contractor and are solely between the homeowner and that contractor.
E. No Obligation to Proceed
Requesting or receiving an inspection does not obligate the homeowner to proceed with repairs, replacement, or contractor engagement.
Homeowners retain full discretion to:
- Seek additional opinions
- Select any contractor of their choosing
- Decline to perform any work
F. Homeowner Responsibility
By requesting an inspection, the homeowner agrees to:
- Provide accurate property information
- Provide reasonable and safe access to the property
- Independently review any contractor proposals or agreements
- Make independent decisions regarding repairs or replacement
G. Limitation Related to Inspection Findings
Inspection findings represent a professional opinion based on visible conditions at the time of documentation.
MRS does not guarantee:
- Insurance claim approval
- Scope acceptance by insurers
- Future roof performance
- Absence of concealed damage
- Contractor pricing or availability
Reliance upon inspection documentation is at the homeowner’s discretion.
5. Independent Contractors
All roofing inspections, evaluations, repairs, replacements, and related services are performed by independent, third-party roofing specialists.
These contractors:
- Are not employees, agents, joint venturers, or representatives of MRS
- Operate as independent businesses
- Enter into agreements directly with homeowners
Any contract for roofing work is solely between the homeowner and the contractor. Major Roofing Specialists is not a party to those agreements.
6. No Guarantees or Warranties by MRS
Major Roofing Specialists does not guarantee:
- Inspection findings or outcomes
- Pricing, timelines, or contractor availability
- Contractor workmanship or performance
- Insurance claim approval, coverage, or payment
All warranties, guarantees, and representations related to roofing work are provided, if at all, by the independent contractor.
7. Insurance Matters
Insurance coverage decisions are made solely by the homeowner’s insurance provider.
MRS may help coordinate communication and information flow related to inspections and documentation, but MRS does not:
- Act as an insurance adjuster
- Guarantee claim approval
- Determine coverage, scope, or payment
Homeowners are responsible for reviewing their insurance policies and communicating directly with their insurer.
